"A true danceband...." - It's probably the most
significant expression of The Band, which has existed since 1973.
The
orchestra always occurs with more than 12 musicians and is led by
Jørgen Bay Rasmussen.
The Music is a mix of swing, latin and palmehavemusik (founded in an area where lots of big bands in Denmark played
"Palmehavemusik" (a special mix of "swing" - but
not so Jazzy - and with a distinct sound))
and recent popular hits..
Shortly you could call it 'real music for grown ups, who love to dance'.
The band performs at different occations such
as entertainments and dance.
The instrumentation starts with saxofones, clarinet, trompets, and trombones -
and ends with a rythmsection wich includes keyboard,
guitar, bass, and drums.
Members of the band performs as vocalist in between. |
